OREANDA-NEWS. January 04, 2010. Interregional rail operator East-Siberian Railways has spent a total of USD 43 mln on new locomotives in 2009, the company reports.

The funds were reportedly used to buy 27 locomotives, including five shunting diesel locomotives, seven cargo electric locomotives and 15 passenger electric locomotives.

East-Siberian Railways is a part of national rail operator Russian Railways.
