OREANDA-NEWS. January 20, 2010. Belarus’ beer output decreased 5% on the year in January-December 2009 to 33.667 million decaliters, a representative in the concern Belgospischeprom told.

In December, beer output amounted to 2.515 million decaliters, up 10.3% on the year.

OAO Krinitsa, based in Minsk, increased beer production 6.9% to 14.513 million decaliters.

OAO Olivaria, based in the city of Minsk, produced 6.35 million decaliters of beer in 2009, a decrease of 2.5% on the year.

Syabar brewery, based in Bobruisk, in the Mogilev Region, produced 4.197 million decaliters of beer in the period, down 8.9% on the year.

OAO Lidskoe Pivo (Lida Beer), in the Grodno Region, increased beer output 0.8% to 4.698 million decaliters.

OAO Brest Beer produced 2.505 million decaliters of beer, down 9.3%.

OAO Rechitsapivo, located in the Gomel Region, produced 954,000 decaliters of beer in the period, down 63.5%.

Beer offering in plastic bottles went down 3% to 25.726 million decaliters, in glass bottles fell 18.6% to 5.613 million decaliters, in kegs increased 13.4% to 1.792 million decaliters and in cans rose 1.9% to 435,000 decaliters.

Belarusian beer sales decreased 9% on the year in January-December to 31.303 million decaliters.

Krinitsa sales edged down 1.8% to 12.797 million decaliters, Olivaria sales went down 2.3% to 6.362 million decaliters, Lidskoe pivo sales went down 0.8% to 4.432 million decaliters, and sales of Brest Beer fell 13.7%, of Syabar decreased 9.1% and of Rechitspivo dropped 65.4%.
