OREANDA-NEWS. January 20, 2010. 130,200 square metres of housing, including 39,300 square metres of social welfare homes, were erected in northwestern Moscow last year. The 2010 plan foresees the development of 271,200 square metres and 48,600 square metres, respectively.

Moscow’s first deputy mayor Vladimir Resin said on January 16 that though the scope of work planned for 2010 was not great in comparison with the previous years, all the structures to go up were of great importance.

Besides new projects, three townships located within northwestern Moscow will have undergone reconstruction, the protracted construction will be completed and the development of Kurkino Township will be done. The construction of Kontinental residential skyscraper is to come to an end in the middle of 2010.

Mr Resin added that 15 car parks included in the 2009 program aimed at building parking facilities would be completed in Q1 2010 while another 20 multi-storey parking garages would be developed during the whole year.
