OREANDA-NEWS. January 28, 2010. The ceremony of opening International exhibition of construction and building materials industries of the Republic of Turkey Ashgabat Expo Bild 2010 took place at the Exhibition Centre.

The deputies of the Mejlis, the high-ranking officials of the national ministries and departments, the heads of the diplomatic representations and missions accredited to our country, the public organisations – the members of the Galkynysh National Movement and journalists took part in the ceremony of opening of the exhibition that is t offer new incentives to develop traditionally friendly and mutually advantageous Turkmen-Turkish cooperation.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressed the welcoming statement to forum participants. Highlighting the significance of the exhibition, the Turkmen leader emphasized that today Turkmen-Turkish brotherly relations had gained a new meaning thus considerably expanding the horizons of cooperation between the two countries. In this regard, the Ashgabat forum provided the good opportunities for intensifying effective bilateral partnership and mutually beneficial exchange of experiences.

The traditional exhibition showcasing the potential and achievements of the Republic of Turkey in construction industry ranks among the major professional events in this field. The forum organized jointly by the Chamber of Commerce and industry of Turkmenistan and the Meridyen International Exhibition Company is an opportunity for Turkmen partners to receive necessary information at first hand. The leading construction companies from Istanbul, Ankara, Antalya, Izmir, Trabzon, Bursa, Mersin and other regions of Turkey had arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the forum.

Over 60 large Turkish companies including Akfa aluminium, ARMA, Elektrosonik, Elkon elevator konveyor ve makina, Kompen, Panelsan, "Namtas beton, Ulusan and many others arranged their pavilions at the Exhibition Palace in Ashgabat. They present a wide range of advanced technologies and equipment, finishing and facing materials, paints and varnishes, etc. Expressing keen interest in developing business contacts the Turkish companies offer Turkmenistan their innovations for the development of urban engineering infrastructure.

In its turn Turkmenistan pursuing the policy of fundamental reforms and renovation and modernization of the national economy and social sphere is interested in attracting the best international practices. In this context Turkmen and Turkish specialists have what to discuss. As known, in recent years dozens of facilities have been built in Turkmenistan in collaboration with the Turkish companies with the participation of Turkish companies in Turkmenistan, and some new construction projects are currently under development.

On the first day the participants held the first business meetings that were of practical importance for they had turned into a lively discussion of the issues of effective cooperation in construction industry, the fields of further collaboration.
