OREANDA-NEWS. January 28, 2010. Head of the Russian Federal Space Agency Anatoly Perminov and representatives of Roscosmos Administration visited Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center today.

Anatoly Perminov held a meeting with GCTC chiefs and cosmonauts to discuss the results achieved within the time since GCTC transfer from the Ministry of Defense to Roscosmos. Roscosmos Head noted that the Center managed to complete all the objectives defined, including crew training.

"Approach to the training shall be enhanced. The highest priority here is to maintain human safety. I would request you to be very accurate here…",- Anatoly Perminov said.

GCTC modification plan is to be drafted by April 1. It shall cover two main directions: crew training, and generation of social infrastructure.

There were also other prospective goals defined during the meeting.

"Star city shall become one of the most comfortable and modern cities… Any person here must feel as if it is better here than in big cities", - Roscosmos Head said.

After the meeting, Anatoly Perminov, Roscosmos and GCTC officials visited GCTC technical objects, including centrifuge, planetarium, ISS and Soyuz simulators, etc.

Roscosmos Head also held another meeting with the Head of Star City Administration Alexander Volkov to discuss the prospective of the city.
