OREANDA-NEWS. February 01, 2010. Heat power plants of OJSC TGC-6 (controlled by the Generation Center Division of IES-Holding) have ensured reliable, uninterrupted heat and electricity supply to all of the company's areas of responsibility during New Year holidays, from December 31, 2009 to January 10, 2010. Generating facilities of OJSC TGC-6 resumed normal operation on January 11.

Due to cold weather in the company's areas of responsibility, the plants of OJSC TGC-6 increased heating water temperature in strict accordance with temperature charts of the heating network. The increase did not cause any emergencies in the main heat networks. Insignificant defects in municipal heat networks were repaired by the staff.

To ensure normal heat supply to consumers, and due to the increase in energy consumption caused by the low temperatures, the plants of OJSC TGC-6 were required to increase fuel consumption. The plants used backup fuels, as well as natural gas, to produce the required amount of heat and electricity.

As of January 11 of this year, backup fuel (fuel oil, coal) stock at the plants of OJSC TGC-6 exceeded the standard prescribed by the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation and ensured reliable and uninterrupted heat supply to citizens in the company's responsibility area.
