OREANDA-NEWS. February 05, 2010. In January, 2010, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) created considerable reserve in order to beat achieved in 2009 record of payments in the state budget and in the budget of the Azerbaijani State Social Protection Fund (ASSPF).

In January, 2010, the company paid to the state USD 122.602 million, including USD 111.759 million in the state budget and USD 10.843 million in the budget of ASSPF versus USD 678.028 million (USD 663.133 million and USD 14.895 million respectively) in December, 2009.

SOCAR informed that in January, 2010, the company transferred AZN 89.798 million to the state budget.

“It is more by 500.9% (AZN 71.869 million) than the payments in January, 2009,” it was informed.

In December, 2009, the company paid to the state budget AZN 532.562 million that was record index for last year.

“In January, 2010, payments to the budget of ASSPF made AZN 8.713 million that is more by 112.4% or AZM 963,000 than payments in January, 2009,” it was informed.

In December, 2009, AZN 11.962 million was paid to the budget of ASSPF (record for 2009). For entire 2009, AZN 1.468 billion was transferred to the state budget and AZN 115.163 million – to the budget of ASSPF.

Only in January, 2010, AZN 98.511 million was paid to the state versus AZN 544.524 million in December, 2009 (record volume of payments). Total payments for 2009 made AZN 1.58 billion.

On 1st February, 2010, exchange rate was AZN 0.8035 to the US dollar.
