OREANDA-NEWS. February 09, 2010. Belarus’ OAO Lidskoe Pivo brewery, based in the Grodno Region, reported a 0.8% increase in output to 4.698 million decaliters in January-December 2009, a representative in the administration of the company told.

Beer offering in plastic bottled increased 1.9% to 3.739 million decaliters, in glass bottles decreased 10.1% to 733,000 decaliters and in kegs rose 29.1% to 226,000 decaliters.

Supplies to the domestic market edged down 0.8% on the year to 4.432 million decaliters.

OAO Lidskoe Pivo exports amounted to 233,000 decaliters, up 130% on the year.

Finland’s Olvi Oyj in early October increased its shareholding in the Belarusian brewery Lidskoe Pivo to 87.85% from 51%.

OAO Lidskoe Pivo accounted for 14.2% of the Belarusian beer output in January-October, up 1.3 percentage points on the year.

Olvi plc is one of Finland’s biggest beer and soft drink producers. It operates in Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
