OREANDA-NEWS. February 09, 2010. The issues of developing dwelling houses, social infrastructure and parking facilities included in the Narodnyy Garazh program were chewed over at the office of the prefecture of Moscow’s northwestern district on February 6.

The visiting meeting was chaired by Vladimir Resin, first deputy mayor of Moscow and head of the Integrated Body for Urban Design Policy and Development of Moscow.

The 2010 plans unveiled at the meeting foresee the development of 271,200 square metres of housing, including 48,600 square metres intended for Muscovites entitled to special benefits.

Commenting on the housing program for northwestern Moscow, Mr Resin noted that it was an all-inclusive program concerning demolition, move to new flats and residential development.

Besides, it is planned to keep building parking garages within the Narodnyy Garazh program. 12 such car parks included in the 2009 program will be completed in the northwestern district in the first quarter of 2010. Their total capacity is about 5,500 vehicles.

Another 20 car parks designed to accommodate a total of 12,000 vehicles will be developed in northwestern Moscow this year.
