OREANDA-NEWS. February 19, 2010. FINCA Azerbaijan, one of the largest microfinance organizations in Azerbaijan, increased its credit portfolio by 4% for the past year compared with its 2008 indicator.

FINCA says that as of 1st January 2010 its credit portfolio reached USD 70 million.

Overall portfolio by early 2010 totaled USD 69.235 million. Of them, USD 40.527 million fell on the share of loan-borrower groups and USD 28.707 million on individual loan recipients.

“In December 2009 alone it was given loans for USD 13.86 million, including USD 8.85 million for loan-borrower groups and USD 5.01 million for individual clients,” FINCA said.

The client base exceeded 90,500 people by January 2010.

In 2008, FINCA Azerbaijan overall portfolio was USD 6.7 million.

Today FINCA has the largest branch network of 24 branches and 30 sub-branches in 55 cities and regions of Azerbaijan.
