OREANDA-NEWS. February 25, 2010. People of Don will know more about nuclear power. Information center that is open in Rostov-on-Don is intended to educate them in this matter. There are only three such institutions in Russia. The new center is equipped with the newest hardware. Due to modern technologies, effect of spectator immersion into virtual reality is created.

It is project of statecorporation "Rosatom" and DGTU. The task is to tell about future of modern nuclear branch. How to handle atom and what it is. Technical developments help in it: 3D-projection and panoramic screen.

"The represented material will be interesting for schoolchildren, teachers and any dweller", — assures director of information center on nuclear power Aleksey Borovik.

"Our investments in this software product made about million and a half rubles", — explains director of communications department of state corporation "Rosatom" Sergey Novikov.

By the way, in the center not only classes on nuclear power, but also virtual traveling are performed — for instance, to Moon. Or, for example, to St.-Petersburg.

"It takes breath away when you look, — better than in cinema", — confess the first spectators. Similar cinema is absolutely free. The center will function on work days — regarding nuclear power. Saturday is day of "free flying" one can select city or planet for traveling.
