OREANDA-NEWS. February 27, 2010. Recalculated into leis, the average purchasing price increased by 19.1% - from 2450 to 2920 leis for 1,000 cubic meters, it was informed at the National Power Regulating Agency (NPRA).

According to the NPRA’s data, the procurement price for natural gas for Moldova in the fist quarter of 2009 was USD332.59 for 1,000 cubic meters, in the second quarter - USD 249.44, in the third quarter - USD 182.26, fourth quarter - USD 194 for 1,000 cubic meters. Price for natural gas for Moldova in the first quarter of 2010 is USD 232.8 for 1,000 cubic meters.

Under the conditions of the long-term contract on gas supply to Moldova for 2007-2011, gas’s price is fixed quarterly and is determined basing on the average price at which Gazprom supplied gas to foreign countries for nine months before the beginning of the year of delivery taking into account the reducing co-efficient for Moldova (in 2009 – 0.8, in 2010 – 0.9), and changes of prices for oil products in the international market.
