OREANDA-NEWS. February 27, 2010. ALIDI, leading provider of logistic and distribution services, became a finalist of the "Regional Innovations-2009" Award held in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The application process for the award lasted from September to December 2009.  It was organized by Trading-Industrial Chamber of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and TV company “Kreml”, supported by the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.  The application process for the award lasted from September to December 2009.  It was organized by Trading-Industrial Chamber of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and TV company “Kreml”, supported by the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

The Award aimed at stimulating innovation processes in the economy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, to involve investors into implementations of innovative projects and to inform prospective customers about innovations.

To take part in the Award companies were to make a 10-munites film about innovation project. The winners were selected by the Panel of Judges, headed by the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region Valery Shantstev. Among the members of Panel there were representatives of different regional ministries. Projects were evaluated according to economic effect of implemented innovations, their importance for consumers and innovation’s significance for the development of the region.

ALIDI Group applied its project in the nomination "Innovation in the sphere of transport and logistics". ALIDI made a film about the National Distribution Center for M.Video, opened in 2009. To implement this project ALIDI built new warehouse and fitted it out with the latest equipment and technologies. Thanks to this project ALIDI became Logistic operator of National scale. ALIDI’s project gave an impulse to the development of the logistics in Nizhny Novgorod.

ALIDI’s project was highly evaluated by judges. At the award ceremony the company was represented by Alexander Safonov, Chief Operating Officer of ALIDI Group, and Michael Miller, Logistic Services Sales Director.

At the beginning of the ceremony Valery Shantstev said, that this Award helped to reveal companies with efficient innovative potential. “Regional Innovations” is expected to be an annual Award. According to the Governor’s words, further it is necessary to increase the volume of innovation production till 25%.
