OREANDA-NEWS. February 27, 2010. Nevsky Shipbuilding-shipyard LLC (Leningrad region) has successfully passed the audit of the current company's Quality Management System and was granted the ISO 9001:2008 certification of compliance with the new international standard. The company representatives received the ISO certificates of compliance to MC ISO 9001:2008 on February 18th, at the office of the Baltic Inspection of Certification Association "Russian Register".
 
“The results of the audit having been positive, the Shipyard Quality Management System proved to be effective and to develop according to principles of constant improvement. So the Certification Association made a conclusion that it corresponds not only to requirements of the operating version of international standard ISO 9001:2000, but also to requirements of new version -  ISO 9001:2008”, NS press release said.
  
Nevsky Shipbuilding-Shiprepair Plant LLC is a subsidiary company of North-Western Shipping Company JSC, included in the Universal Cargo Logistics Holding. The NSSP is located 40 km off Saint-Petersburg in Schliesselburg on the left bank of the Neva River. The shipyard is one of the oldest enterprises of water transport in the North-West of Russia. The company has been engaged in shipbuilding since 1952. The NSS Shipyard builds a broad range of sea and river vessels and repairs ships. The NSSP slipway allows launching and lifting for repairs the vessels of up to 140 meters long and of dock weight up to 2500 tons.
