OREANDA-NEWS. March 11, 2010. A pedestrian subway at Praga Restaurant in downtown Moscow will be equipped for physically challenged people.

“The repair work on the pedestrian subway under Novyy Arbat Street is to be done by next week,” a press service of the local prefecture said on March 3.

The stairs will be coloured in yellow and covered with tactile tiles for the convenience of visually impaired people.

“Unfortunately, it is impossible to provide other amenities for disabled people due to the width of the pedestrian subway. However, later on we go on searching the other ways of technical improvement,” the press service added.
