OREANDA-NEWS. March 15, 2010. Newly opened Baku Business Centre hosted Azerbaijan-Slovakia Business Forum held within the framework of official visit of Slovak Republic Foreign Affairs Minister Mr. Miroslav Lajибk on March, 15. Business forum was organized by AZPROMO and Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency. Forum brought together around 40 entrepreneurs representing agriculture, ICT, banking, construction, industry and other sectors.

Prior to the Forum Slovak officials and businessmen visited the exhibition of local products at Buku Business Centre.

Business Forum was opened by the speeches of Deputy Minister of Economic Development Mr. Niyazi Safarov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovak Republic Mr. Mirolsav Lajибk. The official part was followed by Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Jozef Migas and Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Slovak Republic Mr. Fuad Ismayilov, who provided information on economic relations and cooperation opportunities between two countries.

Presentations on Investment Climate and Business Opportunities in Azerbaijan by Mr. Adil Mammadov (AZPROMO president), Investment Opportunities in Slovakia by Mr. Alexander Љkurla (adviser to the director of Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency) and Investment Opportunities and Projects in Azerbaijan by Mr. Afgan Isayev (executive director of the Azerbaijan Investment Company) were made within the official part of the forum. Business Forum continued with bilateral meetings between Azerbaijani and Slovak businessmen.
