OREANDA-NEWS. March 24, 2010. A workshop to review the status of the regional labour market, pay and compensation in 2010 was held in Tyumen on 24 March by TNK-BP jointly with the consultancy firm Ernst and Young. The speakers presented the results of a wide-ranging study covering the macro-economic situation, key developments in the Russian labour market and company plans for remuneration and social benefits.

Amongst the companies who accepted the invitation to discuss the latest trends on the labour market were OJSC Zapsibkombank, Alfa Bank’s Tyumen branch, LLC Bentek Drilling and Oilfield Systems, OJSC Gazprom Neft-Tyumen, OJSC Sibkomplektmontazh, LLC LUKOIL-Uralnefteprodukt, LLC Tyumenburgeo, LLC SibGeoProekt, LLC Tyumenskie Gazovye Sistemy, CJSC Tyumenneftegazproekt, Utair airline and OJSC Zavod Sibneftegazmash.

Oleg Chemezov, TNK-BP Management Vice President and Director of the TNK-BP Sibir Branch in the City of Tyumen, noted that retaining and attracting staff companies need up-to-date information on the labour market in their region. “We are pleased to be able to involve an internationally renowned agency in the conduction of this workshop. The information provided will help the workshop participants keep their “finger on the pulse”, and most importantly — to reduce the risk of loosing highly qualified staff. HR staff will also have a rare opportunity to get together, in order to identify common issues and find solutions to them,” said Chemezov.
