In January-February this year the port of Tallinn handled 5,621 million tons of cargo, i.e. by 19,2 % or by 907,2 thousand tons more than in corresponding period of 2009. Turnover of dry and bulk cargo amounted to 1,041 million tons (increase by +266,3 % or by +756,7 thousand tons), turnover of general cargo amounted to 0,718 million tons (increase by +18,3 % or by +110,9 thousand tons) (including: containerized cargo − 194,1 thousand tons, positive change by +9,8 % or by +17,3 thousand tons, Ro-Ro cargoes – 450,1 thousand tons, positive change by +16,3 % or by +63,1 thousand tons), and turnover of liquid cargo amounted to 3,856 million tons (increase by +1,2 % or by +44,1 thousand tons). 

Container turnover at the port of Tallinn, in terms of TEU, decreased by 8,2 % and amounted to 21.319 TEU (by -1 897 TEU less).

This year 849,6 thousand passengers visited the port of Tallinn, i.e. by 4,7 % or by 42,3 thousand tons less than in corresponding period last year.

In January-February 2010, 1 025 ships called at the port of Tallinn, i.e. by 5,6 % or by 61 ship less than in the same period of 2009.
