OREANDA-NEWS. April 1, 2010. “Integrated Energy Systems” proceed with “Malachite” investment project implementation on Perm CHPP-6 expansion. The main building for the new steam-gas plant is being constructed at the power plant site. The total investment volume will make 4,1 billion.

The mounting of the main building for the steam-gas plant with capacity of 124MW has been started at Perm CHPP-6 being a part of IES “Generation of Urals” Division. As of today the load-bearing structures of the new SGP building are assembled. The height of the building which is planned to be constructed within the shortest terms is comparable with 10-storeyed building. In the area where the gas turbines will be located it makes 15 meters, in the area of steam boilers – 25 meters and in the area of steam turbines – 30 meters. At present 397 tons of metalware have been mounted (in all there will be mounted 1083 tons of metalware).

Other construction works are also actively being performed at CHPP-6 SGP site. They proceed with concrete casting of metalware foundation (2,568 cubic meters of concrete are poured), making foundation for the boiler-utilizer No.2. The upper platform for the gas turbine is poured. Preliminary works for steam turbine foundation mounting are underway.

In 2010 IES will assign 4,1 billion rubles to construction of 124MW power generating unit at Perm CHPP-6. The total investment volume into the project which is planned to be completed in 2011 makes 9 billion rubles.

The construction of the steam-gas plant at CHPP-6 site is included into the priority investment program of IES called Diadem. The project is named “Malachite”. The new SGP will be equipped with Siemens equipment. In September 2009 SGT-800 turbines of the latest modification were delivered to the site. The capacity of the power generating unit including two SGT-800 turbines and one steam turbine makes 124 MW, the efficiency is 87%.

 “Malachite” project is a key one in Perm Territory energy system development. It will make it possible to increase the electric capacity three times almost up to 180 MW, and heat capacity from 733 Gcal/hour to 830 Gcal/hour. The introduced heat capacity will additionally supply with heat 50 thousand apartments.
