OREANDA-NEWS. April 1, 2010. IAPH is an abbreviation name for the International Association of Ports and Harbors. It is one of the largest and most competent world shipping organizations with the head office, situated in Tokyo. The association was established in 1955 in Los Angeles and included shipping enterprises from 14 countries.

We asked Alexander Tikhomirov, the head of "Lenexpo" transport exhibition department, to comment on the news.

-"Dolphin Exhibitions Ltd" (UK) has become the associated member of the International Association of Port and Harbors IAPH (Japan). For 20 years "Dolphin Exhibitions" has been organizing the international participation in "TRANSTECH" and "Neva" exhibitions and "The Future of Russian Ports"conferences, conducted in "Lenexpo".

-The membership of our exhibitions' organizer in this prestigious world association is a significant fac: it confirms that our exhibition grounds have been recognized by the global international port and sea society. The association gathers over 230 ports from 90 countries, which control over 60% of all world sea freight turnover and 90 % of all containers traffic.

I am sure this membership will contribute to the further growth of population for our "TRANSTECH" and "Neva" exhibitions along with "The Future of Russian ports" conference, conducted in " Lenexpo" exhibition complex.
