OREANDA-NEWS. April 1, 2010. Scheduled removal of weighing equipment at the multilateral international automobile customs stations of Wartsila (Sortavala) and Lytta (Kostomuksha) starts in April, 2010. Therefore, the sequence order for freight motor transport in territory of the customs stations will change.

Entrance driving lanes will be used for trucks driving towards exit at the international automobile customs station of Lytta during the weighing equipment replacement, and then – vice versa. At the international automobile customs station of Wartsila trucks will follow the lanes intended for passenger cars, therefore, only three of five lanes will be used for passenger cars, and two – for trucks. First – in one direction, then – in the other. The pattern of all kinds of customs control at the stations remains unvaried.

According to the government contracts, works will be performed within five months; therefore untill September, 2010 at crossing the border drivers have to be especially watchful, and the citizens have to be understanding, as due to reduction of the number of driving lanes there may occur accumulation of vehicles in some working hours of customs stations. International automobile customs station of Wartsila is open for traffic twenty four hours a day, International automobile customs station of Lytta – from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
