OREANDA-NEWS. April 02, 2010. OJSC KAMAZ was reckoned among with 25 major Russian companies in the monthly released rating of business social responsibility.

The Trud newspaper, the Agency for Political and Economic Communications and the Russian Anti-Crisis Forum conducted the expert poll via close questioning. Over 30 experts, including representatives of trade unions, entrepreneur associations, economists, sociologists, political analysts, publicists participated in the polling in January 2010. The assessment was made according to the ten-point system, and the experts took into account a great number of criteria: creation and preservation of jobs, tax compliance, fulfillment of obligations before employees, active support of regional social infrastructure.

In all 75 large and socially most important Russian companies were rated. They were divided into three groups 25 enterprises each. KAMAZ and Ford Motor Company became the only machine building enterprises of Russia which were included into the first group. Higher grades were given mainly to the companies representing the extractive industry and large bank structures.
