OREANDA-NEWS. April 06, 2010. Cargo turnover at Kaliningrad Commercial Seaport OJSC (KCSP) in January-March 2010 fell 1.2% from Q1, 2009’s numbers, to 747.200 tons, the port statistics said.
Exported commodities amounted to 644.000 tons, a 2.7-percent drop from Q1, 2009. The exports volumes include 181.200 tons of oil products, a 0.7% cut, 365.000 tons of ferrous metals, a 6.5% gain, 46.800 tons of coal and coke (-21.7%).
 
In the first quarter KCSP OJSC handled 103.200 tons of imports, a 9.5% rise.

Kaliningrad Commercial Seaport open joint stock company is the regional stevedore operator. The Port of Kaliningrad serves the hub and gateway for all types of transportation and export-import traffic passing via the region. The KCSP’s throughput in 2009 amounted to 2 million 186.1 thousand tons.
