OREANDA-NEWS. April 21, 2010. ENRC PLC CEO Felix Vulis and Pavlodar region Akim Bakytzhan Sagintaev signed a KZT1.913 bn Memorandum on mutual cooperation in social area, reported the press-centre of KASE.

The funding will be spent to sponsor local education institutions, orphan homes, mosques and temples, handicap organizations and rest homes. A substantial part of the funding will be injected into culture, art and sports, specifically, sponsorship to FC Irtysh.

The Memorandum provides for constructing two residential complexes in Pavlodar and Aksu and reconstruction of a residential building in Aksu under the ENRC residential program effective since Y2006.

The projects will be financed with Corporate fund ENRC Komek and ENRC ventures.

ENRC is known to be engaged in a number of social projects in other regions, in particular, in Aktobe, Karaganda and Kostanay regions. In Y2009 ENRC spent KZT3.7 bn under such memorandums.
 
Therefore, it is the eighth year in a row that ENRC proves to abide by corporate responsibility principals and is contributing largely into social development.

ENRC CEO Mr Vulis emphasized significance of cooperation between business and local authorities: "We understand our social responsibility as the largest job- provider in the Pavlodar region, and do our best to support the Akimat policy aimed at economical and social development of the region".
