OREANDA-NEWS. April 21, 2010. Neftekamsky Automobile Plant, the subsidiary of OJSC KAMAZ, continues working up new outlets.

The first batch of five city buses NEFAZ-5299 was delivered to Samara. The buses are eqgupped with Cummins engines and Voith automatic gearboxes which is very comfortable for city routes.

According to the contract, in all 50 buses with high capacity and Euro-3 pollution-free engines will be delivered to Samara’s Passazhiravtotrans.

The workers of the enterprise hope that it will be the start of long-term cooperation after the example of long-term partnership of NEFAZ and Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad Region where over one hundred of NEFAZ buses have been operating during several years already.

By the way, a tender for delivery of city buses was held in Saint-Petersburg in which three Russian passenger transport producers – Russian Buses (GAZ Group), Trans-Alfa (Vologda) and Neftekamsky Auto Plant participated.

After close examination Neftekamsky Auto Plant won a victory in the tender. As a result, 60 low-floor NEFAZ-5299-30-32 with Cummins engines, with special options for handicapped people will join the fleet of passenger buses of Saint-Petersburg already in the second quarter of 2010.

It is supposed that the new transport added to the fleet will improve the situation in rush hours because NEFAZ buses are able to carry over 100 passengers.
