OREANDA-NEWS. April 27, 2010. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Ali Atia Al Hashimi, Advisor to Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan and Jong-Uk Seo, CEO and President of Daewoo E&C.

Expressing gratitude to the leader of the Turkmen state for the opportunity of a personal meeting Ali Atia Al Hashimi said that the United Arab Emirates attached great importance to cooperation with Turkmenistan that was viewed as a dependable and reputable partner. In this regard the guest from the UAE noted that the vast opportunities to expand business contacts were conditioned by the large-scale reforms launched in Turkmenistan on the initiative of the President to promote the social and economic progress of the country.

In his turn Jong-Uk Seo said that he considered it great honour to be received by the leader of Turkmenistan and offer the expertise and innovation technologies of Daewoo E&C, which successfully operated on the UAE market and implement projects around the world, to dynamically developing Turkmenistan.

Reaffirming the commitment to mutually advantageous international cooperation, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan adopted the best international practice and innovations in all sectors of the national economy to implement long-term development programmes.

Expressing keen interest in establishing business partnerships the guests put forward a number of the relevant proposals. In this context the CEO of Daewoo E&C briefed the Turkmen leader of the major activities of the company specializing in construction industry including such sectors as civil engineering and architecture, construction of energy and industrial facilities.

Welcoming such a constructive, responsible approach to cooperation, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the partners’ proposals would be taken into consideration.

Jong-Uk Seo emphasized that Daewoo E&C stood ready to offer the expertise and potential to Turkmenistan and collaborate in joint projects aimed at fostering Turkmenistan’s economic development.
