OREANDA-NEWS. April 29, 2010. Two flexible performance bulldozers KOMATSU D275A-5 were supplied to the Tugnuy surface mine (the Republic of Buryatia) under an investment program.

The new machines are primarily engaged in removing overburden and work together with a Bucyrus 495 HD excavator and Belaz trucks also recently supplied to the Tugnuy mine. Besides, KOMATSU machines are used to prepare a road for the Bucyrus 495 HD excavator to move along, they build a loading area for 220-ton Belaz trucks, and form waste piles.

The machines are equipped with fuel-efficient low-emission engines. D275A-5s significantly differ from other models by larger capacity blades or cutters. The blades are 4.3 m wide and 1.96 m high. The front plate and side cutters are made of high-strength steel ensuring enhanced durability of the structure.

KOMATSU D275A-5 offers improved comfort for operators: the bulldozer is equipped with a special elastic suspension seat providing operator comfort during machine travel. When desired the seat position may be adjusted according to the operator's stature.
