OREANDA-NEWS. May 13, 2010. Net income of Port Vanino Company for the first quarter of 2010, according to RFRS rose as much as 1.7 times, to 33.266 million rubles. First-quarter revenue totaled 352.348 million rubles, or a 13.5-percent gain from Q1, 2009, the Vanino statement said. 

In 2009 the Company’s net income increased to 117.922 million rubles, a year-over-year 53.6-percent surge. Vanino revenues slightly dropped, 0.07%, to USD 1,334.487m rubles.

Vanino Commercial Sea Port is the largest stevedore operating at the Port of Vanino of the Khabarovsk Krai (Territory). The Port’s terminals handle inbound cargoes to the north-eastern regions of Russia and exports to Japan, South Korea, China, Australia, USA and other countries of Asia Pacific Region.

First-quarter freight flows via the Vanino’s  terminal increased by 14.3% from Q1,09, to 1,469,000 tons. Last year’s throughput totaled 6 million tons of cargoes, a year-over-year 9.4% decline.
