OREANDA-NEWS. May 14, 2010. SOLLERS-Far East made a ceremony out of selling its first SUV to a buyer in Vladivostok.

The silvery SsangYong Kyron cost its first buyer, Vladivostok resident Aleksei Panin, RUR848,000. Panin works as head of the engineering department at DALTECHENERGO OAO. The model he purchased came with a four-stage automatic gearbox and 2.3 liter gasoline engine.

Aleksei said he had been shopping online for a new car for some time. Once he homed in on the SsangYong Kyron, he first wanted to order the car delivered from South Korea, but when he found out the SUV was about to be manufactured in Vladivostok, he decided to buy on home turf.

Aleksei said he prizes safety above all. The Kyron is a full-blown body-on-frame SUV. Its engine and transmission, both derived from the matching Mercedes units, inspire confidence. As a father of two and a fan of outdoor adventure, Aleksei said he fell in love with the roomy interior and trunk. In addition, he said, the car met his expectations in power and gas mileage.

The car was delivered in just 10 days of the contract date – this is how long it took the factory to ship the necessary parts from Korea and manufacture the car to customer’s specifications. SOLLERS-Far East CEO Aleksander Korneichuk handed the keys and “service book” to Aleksei Panin in a gala ceremony on 8 April. The car is covered by a three-year warranty, unless it reaches a mileage of 100,000 km earlier. As premiums with his purchase, Aleksei received a free first-time service coupon, a bottle of champagne and set of auto accessories.
