OREANDA-NEWS. May 14, 2010. SOLLERS-Far East has launched a new SsangYong SUV model. The new off-roader, christened Actyon, will be manufactured in small lots throughout the year.

The first batch numbers 36 vehicles. SsangYong Actyon, which debuted in Naberezhnye Chelny in 2007, made headlines as the most colorful and original compact SUV premiere of the year. Customers loved the combination of enhanced dynamic capability, which is typical for this class of vehicles, with an aggressive sports coupe design.

In addition, the Actyon comes with an impeccably ergonomic interior. The central console is turned slightly towards the driver, and the equipment keys are grouped logically left and right of the wheel in two neat chrome-framed clusters. The driver’s seat, which is adjustable in 8 ways, can be made perfectly comfortable for a person of any height and stature.

The original, dynamic look of this car is matched only by its amazing dynamic action, powered by one of the two engine options manufactured under a licensed from Daimler Chrysler: the 2.3 liter, 150 h/p gasoline one, or 2-liter, 141 h/p turbo-diesel. The car comes with a choice of 5-speed stick gearbox or 4-stage automatic one. The optional 4WD mode ensures that the car is a great ride in any conditions and has great gas mileage.

Like with most other Korean cars, even the most basic Actyon package comes with a generous mix of standard equipment: 2 front seat airbags, ABS, collapsible steering column, climate control system, front seats heater, electronically controlled mirrors and windows, a 6-speaker audio system, and more. The features available by special order include an ESP dynamic positioning system with expanded functionality, leather interior, limited-slip rear differential (for better off-roading action), brand-name alarm system and other add-ons.
