OREANDA-NEWS. May 14, 2010. Speaking in Kiev on 28th April at the IV international conference ‘Corporate Social Responsibility: In search of a National Model’ Oleg Kuzmin, Director of Corporate Affairs at Interpipe presented a report under the title ‘Business ethics and CSR: Declaration or solutions?’

The conference was well attended and created a discussion gateway with topics such as the realization of CSR strategies and practical recommendations being heavily debated. Oleg Kuzmin stressed the social projects Interpipe undertook during 2008 and 2009, as well as the company’s proven track record in CSR,  both of which were reflected in his report.

Commenting on corporate ethics, Oleg Kuzmin said: “The state of the global economy revealed companies’ attitudes toward corporate social responsibility, and whether it was a mere declaration or had real intention behind it. Interpipe ceased the opportunity to strengthen its position in this regard, by opening a communal medical center and providing the leading Ukrainian universities with Henry Mintsberg books. We did not stop there; Interpipe Steel was awarded  ‘Best eco-social Project’ for 2009 and presented Novomoskovsk with a new equipped alley. We plan on continuing our efforts in 2010.”
