In Umirsak v., Mangistau region with the support of the National Company “KazMunayGas” there was held a festive official opening of a specialized training centre for firemen on the basis of Mangistau subsidiary “Semser-Ort” LLP (being a member of KMG Group of Companies) The representatives of JSC NC “KazMunayGas”, LLP “Semser-Ort”, of the local executive bodies, state organizations, of the foreign and native companies etc. participated in the ceremony.

The new “Semser” training centre activity is focused on the training of fire science specialists, on the students’ getting basic vocational education, their additional and advanced training. The specialized training centre short-range plans are to expand its activities and render multiple training services to the workers on the industrial safety and security issues.

Immediate problem solution in the setting of hard environment of large-scale and troublesome fires, effective handling of new fire extinguishing agents supposes the firemen to be exceptionally well qualified in fire-tactics. There are designated classrooms in the training centre “Semser”, equipped with the training aids and all the necessary accessories for practical skill training. It is planned that 300 listeners from Mangistau region will have training here during the next several months.

The specialists of LLP “Semser-Ort sondirushi” have shown off their skills in fire-fighting and in rescue operation on oil and gas industry facilities with increased fire and environmental risks on the training range of LLP “MAEC-Kazatomprom”. During the military deployment of the fireguard subdivisions the standards of operating the fire-technical hardware and equipment were trained. Gas and smoke control services have made a show of the operational-tactical actions to eliminate the prearranged accident on the pipeline and to rescue a victim in the labyrinth. The fire subdivisions stuff has also demonstrated their skills in self-rescuing with life ropes.

Following the results of the event, LLP “Semser-Ort sondirushi” and the participants signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on the training issues.
