OREANDA-NEWS. May 18, 2010. Moscow authorities plan to have up to 5,000 parking lots commissioned within the development of multi-storey car parks per year starting from 2011.

According to Vladimir Resin, first deputy mayor of Moscow, such car parks are compact, small in size and can be erected where there is a shortage of space, for instance, in the centre of Moscow, beside a residential building or an office.

The official added that two steps to increase a number of the multi-storey car parks commissioned in Moscow per year were to find free sites and to fund the development.

It is worth reminding that about 10 parking facilities mentioned above are to be under construction in central and southwestern Moscow this year.
