OREANDA-NEWS. May 19, 2010. XII International exhibition “The power generating sector and electrical engineering” which takes place from 11 to 14 of May on Saint Petersburg, has a distinctive feature. For the first time “An exchange house of business contacts” functions here. It’s actively used for getting acquainted, business contacts establishment, share of experience and just a happy hour by all the participants of the exhibition and numerous conferences which take place in the framework of the largest in Russia power forum.

By the invitation of Holding IDGC the participants of the conference devoted to the problems of the grid complex became a delegation of the key power company from France Electricite Reseau Distribution France International (ERDF) which was represented by Director General of ERDF Zhak Orviler and counselor of the Chairman of the Board of ERDF Mark Buallo. They shared experience of the management by electric grids with the Russian colleagues and treated in detail the usage of technology smart-grid (Intelligent grids).

In the break of the conference an active discussion and a change of opinions were continued. Deputy Director General - chief engineer of IDGC of the North-West Georgy Turlov had a short discussion with the colleagues from France.  The moderator of conference “The distribution grid complex: state, problems, ways of solution”, Director by the information policy and communications of Holding IDGC Alexander Uzhanov represented the top manager to the French colleagues.

The representatives of the delegation from France got acquainted with an interest one of the largest grid companies in Russia – IDGC of Northwest, the improvised presentation of which represented Deputy Director General of the company Georgy Turlov. He told about the sphere of activity of the grid company the main shareholder of which is Holding IDGC, the territory of maintenance, technologies which the Russian powermen use in the grid complex.    The top managers changed opinions as to “Intelligent grids”.

- A possibility to use smart-grit technology in the grid complex of the Northwestern region is actively discussed today in the professional sphere. We already introduce some elements in the company’s branches at terms of a pilot project”, - told chief engineer of IDGC of the North-West Georgy Turlov to the French colleagues. The discussion was brief and informal beyond the bounds of the official program. All the more so, the parts thanked each other for the given information and professional consultancies.
