OREANDA-NEWS. June 01, 2010. The Government continues to implement consistently the policy of deregulating the economy and improving the investment climate in the country. This the Vice-Prime Minister Serhiy Tigipko said today after the meeting of the Governmental Committee on economic policy.

Serhiy Tigipko said that, in particular, during the meeting a draft law on amending some laws of Ukraine concerning the acquisition of the right to take certain actions to implement the business or economic activities based on declaration of conformity of material and technical base requirements to legislation was considered.

"Today, we are creating conditions for expanding the list of economic activities that can be performed without obtaining any permission. Entrepreneurs will be sufficient to submit to the supervisory authority a declaration of conformity to material and technical base requirements to legislation. First, we are talking about the construction and industries that are under the state sanitary and epidemiological surveillance. In future this list will be expanded considerably" – the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine said.

According to Serhiy Tigipko, the enacting of this law will bring Ukrainian legislation to European business practices of declarative, rather than permissive principle. "Every year in Ukraine thousands of businesses are forced to obtain permits and licenses. By reducing that list, we will allow the entrepreneurs to save time and money. In addition, the decrease in the number of permits would lead to a significant reduction of corruption" - Serhiy Tigipko said.
