OREANDA-NEWS. June 10, 2010. The Gomselmash joint assembly facility in Omsk will be officially inaugurated on 18 June.

The Gomselmash kits will be assembled at Sibirskaya supply depot, Gomselmash’s official dealer in that Russian region. The capacity at the first stage will be 100 machines a year. The first 20 combine harvesters Polesie-Omsk will be assembled by the beginning of this year’s harvesting campaign.

According to Ivan Proturo, Gomselmash took a decision to set up the joint assembly facility in the Omsk Oblast as the region has a great agro-industrial potential and favorable geographic location. Bringing the manufacturing closer to consumers will reduce the costs of machines and will enable the company to provide the whole range of warranty-and post-warranty services, to supply spare parts and train personnel.

Starting from 2011 the capacity of the joint assembly facility will be increased to 300 combine harvesters. To this end, the construction of new premises is already underway.

Today Gomselmash combine harvesters are assembled in China, Argentine, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and several regions of Russia. The biggest one operates in the Bryansk Oblast.

Gomselmash is a multi-business producer of machines designed to cultivate and harvest crops using contemporary agrarian technologies. The Gomselmash line-up includes machines for harvesting grain, forage crops, sugar beet, potato, as well as mowers and machines for complex soil cultivation.
