OREANDA-NEWS. June 22, 2010. The subject of the agreement signed on September 7, 2007 in Sydney is cooperation in transfer of nuclear material from Australia for processing at the Russian nuclear reactor and using in Russia as nuclear fuel. The agreement which had been signed before, on February 15, 1990, provided processing of the nuclear material supplied from Australia only on behalf of a third country.

The initial term of the agreement is equal to 30 years. Hereafter, if neither intends to terminate the agreement it will remain in force for an indefinite period of time.
