OREANDA-NEWS. June 25, 2010. Dmitry Medvedev and President of the United States Barack Obama discussed bilateral economic cooperation and Russia’s accession to the World Trade Organisation.

Besides, the two presidents discussed Dmitry Medvedev’s visit to Silicon Valley and reviewed various issues on the international agenda specifically addressing Iran’s nuclear programme, North Korea related matters, the Middle East peace process, and the situation in Kyrgyzstan.

Following the talks, Dmitry Medvedev and Barack Obama issued a joint statement noting that Russia and the United States are committed to further promote their new strategic relations based on mutual trust, openness, predictability and cooperation.

The Presidents agreed to continue cooperating in strategic offensive arms cuts, encouraging energy efficiency, developing environmentally clean energy, and fighting terrorism.
