OREANDA-NEWS. June 29, 2010. At the Atomexpo 2010 Forum in Moscow Joint stock company "Techsnabexport" (TENEX) General Director Mr. A. Grigoriev and President of Dominion Nuclear and Chief Nuclear Officer Mr. David A. Heacock made an official statement on the signature of a contract early this year for supply of Enriched Uranium Product (EUP) . The contract have already successfully passed the approval procedure in the U. S. Department of Commerce (DOC). Dominion treat the Contract as a basis for further development of the Parties’ business relationship in the field of nuclear materials supply.

Within January — April 2010 TENEX signed several commercial contracts with leading U.S. nuclear energy companies including Dominion, Xcel Energy and another first rate utility for the supply of EUP. All of the signed contracts have been approved by the DOC.

The Amendment to the Russian Suspension Agreement signed by the State corporation Rosatom and the DOC in February 2008 allowed U.S. utilities to enter into direct contracts with the Russian supplier for securing long-term low enriched uranium supplies on mutually advantageous terms. Since 2009 TENEX has already signed a number of contracts which allowed to cover the substantial part of the quantities allocated under the Amendment to RSA for the 2014-2020 period.

Enriched uranium product deliveries will be provided from any of the four Russian enrichment plants equipped with leading edge centrifuges and are supported by the strong engineering and technological potential of the Russian enrichment industry.
