OREANDA-NEWS. June 30, 2010. Belarus’ affiliates of Heineken group of companies – Syabar, in the Mogilev Region, and Rechitsapivo, in the Gomel Region – registered a 47.4% increase in output in January-May 2010 from previous January-May to 3.021 million decaliters, Belarus’ food concern Belgospischeprom said in a statement.

Syabar’s output rose 65% on the year to 2.67 million decaliters, while Rechitsapivo’s output decreased 18.6% to 351,000 decaliters because of a large-scale reconstruction. Most of Rechitsapivo brands are now produced using Syabar’s facilities.

In May, the two breweries’ beer production increased 55.7% on the year to 805,000 decaliters. Syabar’s output rose 71.3% on May 2009 to 723,000 decaliters, and Rechitsavipo produced 82,000 decaliters of beer, down 13.7%.

Syabar made 2.076 million decaliters of beer in plastic bottles in January-May, up 63.2%, and 582,000 decaliters in glass bottles, up 68.2%. Beer output in kegs reached 12,000 decaliters.

Rechitsapivo produced 291,000 decaliters of beer in plastic bottles in January-May 2010, down 1%, and 10,000 decaliters in glass bottles, down 86.5%. Beer offering in kegs fell 20.6% to 50,000 decaliters.

The two breweries delivered 2.682 million decaliters of beer to the retail network in January-May 2010, up 38.7% on the year.

Exports by Belarus’ affiliates of Heineken group of companies hiked 320% on the year in January-May to 117,400 decaliters, 94,800 decaliters by Syabar, up 17.2 times, and 22,600 decaliters by Rechitsapivo, up 1.5%.
