OREANDA-NEWS. July 05, 2010. According to National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) in the I quarter of 2010 the purchase cost of natural gas for Moldova amounted to USD232 for 1 thousand of cubic meters, in the II quarter - USD 252 for 1 thousand of cubic meters.

As the General Manager of ANRE Vitalie Parlicov has noted, the gas price for final consumers won’t be raised because current gas tariff was made taking into account the forecasted gas purchase prices in the III quarter.

According to the long-term contract on gas supply to Moldova for the years 2007-2011, the gas price is set quarterly, proceeding from the average price, at which Gazprom has sold the gas in far-abroad countries within 9 months, preceding to the beginning of supply year and taking into account the decreasing coefficient for Moldova (in 2009 it amounted to 0.8, in 2009 – 0.9), and also considering the changes of oil products’ prices on the world market.

It is planned, that starting from January 1, 2011 Moldova will purchase gas from Gazprom at average-European prices, without the decreasing coefficient.
