OREANDA-NEWS. July 08, 2010. Belarus projects GDP growth at 6.7% on the year in January-June 2010, First Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko told the two chambers of parliament with reference to preliminary forecasts.

Semashko also said industrial output was expected to increase 7.7% in the first half of the year.

Semashko expressed certainty that the government would reach the GDP expansion target of 11%-13% year-on-year, and industrial output would grow 10%-12%.

In January-May, GDP grew 6.4% on the year, and industrial output increased 7.7%.
