OREANDA-NEWS. July 14, 2010. Belarus’ internal debt increased 0.8% on the month in May to 8.394 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br) as of May 1, 2010, an official with Belarus’ Finance Ministry told.

Belarus’ internal debt rose 2.3% in the first five months in real terms (adjusted for inflation).

Internal debt increased by 507 billion rubles in January-May 2010, or 0.9% of GDP, the official said.

Of the total internal state debt, the long-term debt of the government accounts for 26.3%, short-term debt for 0% and the debt secured by the government for 73.7%.
