OREANDA-NEWS. July 20, 2010. UTair Aviation continues to demonstrate KPI growth in the first half of 2010 exceeding growth of the same indicators for the same period last year and well ahead of the average range of industry indicators.

In January-June passenger turnover constituted 3,589,491.6 PKM, a 55.6% increase over the previous year and higher than the industry average of 35.6%. UTair carried a total of 2,111,194 passengers – 46.9% more than in 2009 and again above the industry average of 29.3%. The airline’s fleet logged 82,832 flight hours, 34.7% more than in the same period of 2009. UTair's seat occupancy ratio grew 3.2 points and reached an average of 74.7%.

UTair’s rotary wing aircraft operations have also demonstrated growth: UTair helicopters transported 196,022 passengers over the past 6 months, a 28% increase over the same period in 2009. During the reporting period UTair helicopters transported more than 22,838.2 tons of cargo or 46.1% more than last year. Logged flight hours grew 20%.

According to the UTair operational forecast for 2010, the airline's planes and helicopters will have logged a total of 300,000 flight hours. More than 100 aircraft and 200 helicopters of various types and classes will be involved in realization of the company’s operations program. In 2010, the airline expects to serve more than 4.8 million passengers, 34% more than in 2009. Helicopter operations in Russia and eleven foreign countries are expected to see an annual increase of 3.8%.
