OREANDA-NEWS. July 21, 2010. Vita Petrosiene, Deputy General Director for Business Support of Public Company ORLEN Lietuva, awarded special cash prizes to two secondary school graduates from Mazeikiai district.

Ieva Nagyte, a graduate of Mazeikiai Merkelis Rackauskas Gymnasium, who passed all the four secondary education exams by scoring maximum number of points, received a prize in the amount of a thousand Litas. A five hundred Litas prize was awarded to Kristina Klemenyte, a graduate of Mazeikiai District Zidikai Marija Peckauskaite Secondary School, who finished school cum laude (with praise).

The Company’s attention to the bright school students is not a contingency. Because located in the territory of Zidikai neighbourhood, ORLEN Lietuva seeks to encourage students residing in the vicinity to strive for good academic results. Last year, Lina Simutyte, a graduate of Zidikai school, was awarded for high study scores.

The Company decided to give an incentive to I. Nagyte for the unique and exclusive academic attainments in Mazeikiai district. This is the first time when assignments of four secondary education exams carried out by a student from Mazeikiai were awarded a hundred points each.

According to Laima Nagiene, a mother of the school-leaver Ieva Nagyte, the most appreciated in this situation is the attention paid to a young person having attained good academic results and evaluation of personal abilities rather than the material expression of the attention.
