OREANDA-NEWS. July 21, 2010. On July 19-25, in Farnborough (the United Kingdom) there will be held Farnborough International’2010 Air-Space Show, where State Corporation “Russian Technologies” for the first time will act as the organizer of the integrated Russian exposition, which will occupy the area of 1,350 sq. m. and be represented by 50 companies.

“Russian Technologies” actively involves foreign partners into the interest area of the Russian machine-building complex. These are prospective investors and advanced-technologies carriers, e.g. Finmeccanica, Boeing, Thales, EADS, Sаfran, etc. In the course of the Show, the Corporation will continue the collaboration, which is focused on long-term partnership relations development with those companies.

At Farnborough International’2010 Air-Space Show, the Corporation will be represented by: FGUP Rosoboronexport, OPK OBORONPROM, JSC, VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, JSC, Management Company “Associated Engine Corporation”, LLC, Helicopters of Russia, JSC, “Tactical Missile Armament” Corporation, Aviapriborostroenie Concern, JSC, FGUP “GNPP Bazalt”, FGUP “PO Ural Optical-Mechanical Plant”, etc.

Each of these enterprises manufactures unique products that are in demand all over the globe.  In particular, helicopters of the Mi-8 / Mi-17 family, which are most popular over the globe, and the titanium produced by VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation is extensively used in construction of Boeing planes, including Boeing 787 Dreamliner (up to 40%), Airbus planes (up to 50%) and the Sukhoi Superjet 100 plane, presented at the Show. Nearly 70% of components for the Russian 5th-generation-combat aircraft are also manufactured at the Corporation’s enterprises.

Among the aviation equipment of “Russian Technologies” presented at the Show are combat helicopters Ka-52, Mi-35M, multipurpose helicopter K-60, troop-carrying helicopter Mi-171Sh, and heavy-lift helicopter Mi-26. Guests and experts will be furnished with information concerning the aircraft equipment, electronics systems, engines and aircraft armament.

The head of the official Russian delegation is Alexander Fomin, First Deputy Director of the Federal Agency for Military-Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation. The head of the integrated delegation of holdings and enterprises as part of “Russian Technologies” is Deputy Director General Dmitri Shugaev.
