OREANDA-NEWS. July 22, 2010. Ural Airlines changes the hand baggage allowance for its flights. As the airline makes a wider use of Airbus airplanes, which have larger overheads, our passengers can now take larger bags to the cabin. And, even more importantly, the weight of hand baggage will NOT be counted as part of the passenger's free allowance.

Under the new rules, passengers are now entitled to carrying the following bags in the aircraft cabin:

in the Business/Comfort class,

- two pieces with the total weight of not more than 12 kg and the size of each not exceeding 55-40-20 cm, that is the sum of three dimensions should not be over 115 cm (45 inches);

in the Economy class,

- one piece with the weight of not more than 5 kg and the size not exceeding 55-40-20 cm, that is the sum of three dimensions should not be over 115 cm (45 inches).

We remind you that an economy class passenger's free checked baggage allowance is 20 kg; a business/comfort class passenger's, 30 kg; an infant's of up to two years of age, 10 kg plus a baby buggy. The dimensions of one checked bag should not exceed 50-50-100 cm.

Additionally, each passenger may carry the following items to the cabin:

ladies purse or briefcase,

paper-folder,

umbrella,

walking-stick,

bunch of flowers,

overclothes,

suit or costume in a holdall,

printed matter for reading in flight,

bassinet, if an infant is taken on board,

infant food for an infant during the flight,

mobile phone, photographic camera, video camera,

small-size computer,

crutches, stretcher or wheelchair for a passenger with reduced mobility.

The above-listed items are not subject to weighing, checking in and tagging.
