OREANDA-NEWS. July 27, 2010. In 2010 the enterprises and institutions of the nuclear industry complex of Ukraine established the “Ukrainian Nuclear Forum” Association for coordinating their efforts in implementing joint economic and social tasks, promoting a positive public acceptance of nuclear power as a key player of the energy policy of Ukraine, and also forming a positive information environment to reflect the topical issues related to Ukrainian nuclear power and industry development. 

The mission of the Association is to work out a coordinated position on a wide range of issues to be resolved by the Ukrainian nuclear sector, promoting its interests at domestic and European markets, strengthening its relationship with the state authorities of Ukraine, EU institutions, European nuclear industries’ enterprises and their associations.

Top level managers and experts of Ukrainian industrial complex’s enterprises and research institutes have been invited as well as representatives of the State authorities and Regulatory Bodies, European Commission, European Parliament’s members, and European FORATOM, National Nuclear Forums from Bulgaria, Czech, France and other European countries.

Objective: Promoting development of cooperation in the field of nuclear power and industry. Establishing an open dialogue between nuclear industry enterprises, state agencies of Ukraine and policy-making institutions of the European Union.

Tentative Number of Participants: 120 persons.

Working Languages: Ukrainian, Russian and English languages.

Topics Suggested for Discussion:

§           Establishing of the Ukrainian Nuclear Forum is a way towards initiating and strengthening cooperation between enterprises and organizations of Ukrainian and European nuclear industry complexes. Role of the Nuclear Forum in the development of nuclear power sector.

§           Prospects for the Ukrainian nuclear industry complex development till 2020

§           Ukraine-EU cooperation in the field of nuclear safety improvements

§           Interaction between Ukrainian nuclear industry enterprises and EU nuclear industry complex in the cooperation development.

Papers and Reports are called to be presented: Participants are invited to take the floor and present their reports on topics to be addressed during the International Conference. 

Time allowed for each presentation is 20 minutes.

Participants are kindly requested to send their completed Registration Forms and papers/presentations to the Directorate of International Cooperation (NNEGC “Energoatom”) by 15 October 2010. The Organizing Committee is responsible for airport-hotel-airport transfer and hotel room reservation. Other expenditures associated with the participants’ stay in Kiev (accommodation, meals and local transportation) shall be borne by participants of the International Conference.
