OREANDA-NEWS. August 02, 2010. Belarus, Russia and China are working on a project to build high-speed railway between Minsk and Moscow, Anatoly Sivak, Head of Belarusian Railways (BZD), said during a press conference in Minsk.

He said that a separate railroad will be built, and existing routes will not be involved. It is planned to reach speeds of 300 kilometers per hour.

Parties have created a working group. Its next meeting will be held on August 20. "It is expected that the Chinese Minister of Railway Transport will arrive in August," said A. Sivak.

Currently, specialists are discussing technical points. The second stage will be a feasibility study, said the head of Belarusian Railways.
