MAIN SEMIANNUAL EVENTS 2010

February

A new software complex IQS “The OTC Market” of the Belarusian Quotation Automated System (BEQAS), serving the OTC stock market, was introduced into operation.

March

During the General Meeting of shareholders, the authorized capital of the BCSE was increased to BYR 12.9 billion by increasing the par-value from BYR 300 to BYR 315 per share.

New algorithms of price calculations were introduced into the securities trading system taking into account the discounting ratios established by the National Bank while carrying out of REPO auctions.

April

A meeting between leaders of the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange and the Warsaw Stock Exchange was held in Warsaw, where the parties discussed a number of perspective directions of cooperation within the signed Memorandum.

A representative of one of the world's largest stock exchanges - NASDAQ OMX Group Inc. (USA-Sweden) visited the BCSE to discuss current development of the stock exchanges, exchange instruments and technologies, information and marketing inter-exchange cooperation issues.

The service level software of the BCSE information system was introduced into operation to combine a soft- and hardware complex of the BCSE into the uniform information field.

A new version of the trading system for securities was introduced into operation to provide a full integration with the electronic document system of the BCSE covering all existing documents formed in the exchange stock market.

June

The possibility of the automated interaction between the BCSE trading system and the software of clients’ back-offices was realized to provide a mutual data exchange.

Representatives of Baku Interbank Currency Stock Exchange (BBVB) visited the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange within the FEAS bilateral program covering the issues of currency and futures markets functioning and information systems.

Representatives of Bank of New-York Mellon visited the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange to study the BCSE’s current activity, its development outlook, and the system of securities issue and their circulation in Belarus.

Representatives of Auerbach Grayson and Company Inc, Emerging Markets Management, CIM investment management visited the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange to study the BCSE’s current activity, its development outlook, and to discuss possible ways of investing into the emerging markets.
